My name is Erin Mitchell and I am the new college intern. I am really excited about getting involved here at Bethany and especially so about working with the college students. I think we are going to have a really good time together.

I went to Southern Illinois for my undergraduate work and received a BA in Psychology. I moved out here from Belleville IL, just outside of St. Louis MO, almost three years ago and the time has flown. I moved to attend Mars Hill Graduate School where I am pursuing my Masters of Arts in Counseling Psychology and I will be finished May 2!

This past May I married Stephen whom I met during our time together in St. Louis before I moved out here. We are experiencing married life as richer and fuller than we could have imagined and are so grateful. I love living in Seattle. I lived in Greenwood my first two years here and when we got married we moved to lower Queen Anne. I love living in what feels like a small community and feeling more and more like I am a part of that.

Stephen and I love being outside and Seattle has afforded us many opportunities to do just that. We hike, camp, and ski as much as we can. I love cooking and baking and I really love to read. I just finished up Lauren Winner’s book, Real Sex and am currently reading J.R.R. Tolkien’s, The Hobbit. I look forward to getting to know more people in this church and serving the college students as their new intern.
