Soup & Bread...Barbecue!
On June 14th, the monthly Soup and Bread is BBQ! Of course, we’ll have those fantastic hot cinnamon rolls, muffins, and juice between the services. But after the second service Bethany fires up the grills for the annual BBQ where you can choose from grilled hamburgers, Polish sausages, hotdogs and vegetarian items. There will also be condiments, chips, and other picnic fare. Come and celebrate summer with us. The meal will be held in the Fellowship Hall no matter what the weather!
Bethany Group Camping Trip
Camping enthusiasts be sure and mark your calendar for the 11th annual Bethany Group Camping Trip July 10-12. We’ll be going back to Gold Basin in the Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest near Darrington that everyone enjoyed so much last year.
Activities include but are not limited to swimming in mountain lakes, trips to the river, hiking to snow caves, community dinner, Sunday worship in mountain splendor, sitting around bonfires eating smores, and generally hanging out with really cool people!
The close proximity of Gold Basin has been ideal for those who want to spend the night or just want to make it a daytrip (thus forgoing the pleasure of the night-long snoring symphony and frog chorus).
Watch the church bulletin for reservations in the group site and information for reserving individual sites.
Mariner’s Game
August brings us back to Safeco Field to see the Mariners take on the defending American League champion, Tampa Bay Rays. Don’t miss this chance to see our team in action! We’ll be going Friday, August 7th and the tickets cost $11. Bonus: it’s also Ken Griffey Jr. Bobblehead Night for the first 20,000 fans!
