In Inter-Varsity Christian Fellowship of Canada these days we are being galvanized around a singular vision/purpose/mission: To Launch 20,000 Extraordinary Leaders by the year 2020.

What do we mean by leaders? We long that alumni of Inter-Varsity (both camps and campus) would take initiative, in whatever circles of influence they find themselves in, to bring the kingdom of God. We mean as parents, local community members, people in all works of life, in every context that God calls them into they would be bringing the presence of Christ and showing and sharing the beautiful gospel.

Imagine 20,000 people bringing the kingdom of God into their circles of influence. This could change all of Canada. This could fundamentally shift the direction of a number of countries. There could be whole cities that are marked by the kingdom of God.

This is what Inter-Varsity was meant to do. We are a community of believers that studies scripture deeply, takes it into our hearts prayerfully and then moves out missionally with a power and purpose to bring the good gospel. We send people into the world, all the world, to continue what they have been shown and taught: living with the gospel.

Our staff and students have been shocked and inspired by this vision. And now they are being transformed into the women and men of God who are going to pursue its fulfillment.
