Alex Moore, InterVarsity

As we work on college campuses around the Northwest, we're seeing an openness and hunger for Jesus among students that is very exciting.

One example is at WSU, where as a freshman, Andrew assured his InterVarsity staff worker his dorm friends weren't interested in Bible study. But as a sophomore this year, the two of them read a book about evangelism and began trying to engage Andrew’s friends in spiritual conversations.

Soon his friends were coming to him with questions about God - so many, in fact, that he decided he needed to start a Bible study for them in order to keep from being overwhelmed!

In November our family travelled to Fairbanks, AK to help the InterVarsity chapter there with an outreach event. Called "Family Matters," the event invited students to consider how their family experience shaped (or misshaped) their perception of God. With free BBQ as an additional incentive, the InterVarsity students were bold in their invitations and over 50 students came - nearly half of whom were outsiders to InterVarsity.

Please pray that God would continue giving us divine
appointments with students feeling a hunger - especially the spiritual kind.
