The Vision for Childrens' Ministries at Bethany

To provide a safe and loving environment where children are:

  • taught the foundations of the Christian faith;
  • challenged to accept the adventure of discipleship;
  • encouraged to take part in the community of faith at Bethany.

To each child at Bethany, we want you to know that:

  • You are deeply loved by Jesus Christ.
  • Loving and obeying God is a great adventure - an adventure that will last your whole life.
  • You are an important part of our church family.

News & Notes

Parents, Children, and the Sacraments
Sometimes the sacraments (including Communion) are hard for parents to understand, much less explain to their children. Here are is an article that might support you in this important task:

Godly Play: Worship, Wonder & Whispers
Children at Bethany are learning to do both through our Godly Play program, which is offered for kindergartners during the 9 o’clock service and for 4-8 year olds at the second service. In our “worship center,” room 202, children gain experience with worship in a child-friendly manner as they learn to wonder and ask questions, become familiar with the language of the Christian faith, and hear Bible stories in a fresh way.
