Youth ministry at Bethany seeks to provide a safe place for middle and high schoolers to grow in their faith, build relationships with peers and leaders, and learn about what it means to be a follower of Christ.
Youth Group provides a fun environment where students build relationships and learn about God.
High School meets Tuesdays from 7-9:00pm in the Youth House.
Middle School meets Thursdays from 7-8:30pm in the Youth House.
Our Youth House is 11 Howe St. just around the corner from the front of the church.
Our Youth Ministry aims to grow students into lifelong disciples. Part of this is integrating these emerging adults into the worship with the church.
The first Sunday of each month, Middle and High School students remain in the worship service.
All other weeks, students begin in the Sanctuary for corporate worship:
At the 9:00am service, Middle Schoolers will meet in the Youth House for the remainder of the service.
At the 10:45am service, High Schoolers will meet in the Youth House for the remainder of the service.
Youth Ministry at Bethany is much more than just two weekly youth groups. We typically have one fun, outreach oriented event per quarter such as Broomball, Laser, and Roller Skating. We also provide volunteer and service opportunities on a regular basis.
Justice is close to the heart of God, and close to the heart of our ministry. The middle school students started a campaign in the fall of 2015 to support Syrian refugees.
Weekly youth group takes a break during the summer in lieu of special events like Mariner’s Games, Wild Waves, Capture the Flag, and more. The big trip alternates bi-yearly between a family camping trip and a mission trip.
The Youth Milestone programs picks up where Children’s Milestone leaves off, providing significant faith development learning and experiences for each grade.
