High School Mission Trip - New Orleans

The HS Mission Trip - New Orleans is for students currently in the 8th-12th grades (2021-22 school year). If you have questions about that or want to talk about your 8th grader moving up to High School, please reach out to Danielle:  daniellem@bethanypc.org.

Dates:  Monday, July 11 - Sunday, July 17 in New Orleans, LA

Trip Summary:  We will be doing some Hurricane relief work from the 2021 hurricane, Ida, that impacted many families in Southeast Louisiana. We will be serving with Rebuilding Hope in New Orleans (RHINO), that is facilitated by St Charles Ave Presbyterian. This congregation was my (Danielle’s) home church through college, and I’m excited to share this experience and special place with all of you. I was with them in the beginning days of RHINO, which was started to help the region recover from Hurricane Katrina. New Orleans is my favorite city on the planet; I hope you are all ready for my personal tour of the Tulane University campus, eating beignets at Cafe du Monde, learning more about the legacy of racism in the city, worshiping together, and rebuilding neighborhoods!

Cost:  At this point, families can expect $1,800-$2,000 per person.  In this registration process, you will be asked for a $200 deposit. We are flying nonstop on Alaska Airlines and then will be transported locally in 12 passenger vans driven by leaders.
