Children and Family Ministries

Children at Online + On Campus Worship
Sundays, 9am & 10:45am

Children’s program returns on July 11! We are taking advantage of this beautiful Seattle weather and meeting outside partway through both services. Kids age 3 to 5th graders (’21-’22) are welcome to join adult volunteers and classmates outside after the children’s message is given in the Fellowship Hall. Outside we will gather in small groups, discuss the message they just heard, then play on the jungle gym, with arts/crafts, and sports equipment until the service is over. There will be a few adult volunteers on the lawn at the start of each service if you prefer your child remain outside over the entire service time. Kids newborn through 2 years old are invited to the nursery. Both 9am and 10:45am services are exactly the same in content and programming. Contact Bianca, biancaq@bethanypc.org, if YOU would like to help volunteer.

Our goal is to provide a safe and loving environment where children are:

                          • Taught the foundations of the Christian faith;
                          • Challenged to accept the adventure of discipleship;
                          • Encouraged to take part in the community of faith at Bethany.

To each child at Bethany, we want you to know that:

                          • You are deeply loved by Jesus Christ.
                          • Loving and obeying God is a great adventure – an adventure that will last your whole life.
                          • You are an important part of our church family.

Children’s Message During 10am Worship

The Children’s Message is an important part of our all-congregational worship services. Generally following the sermon topic, it is brought by a different volunteer from our Bethany community each Sunday.

Godly Play

Bethany uses a Sunday School curriculum called Godly Play for children Preschool through 4th grade. This Montessori-based program encourages children to think about faith and God on their own and to ask questions to build a strong and personal relationship with God.
