Pact teams are the heart and soul of Outreach at Bethany. Each ministry partner has a team of people around them to offer support, care, and encouragement, to learn about the issues that are important to their ministry partner and discover how best to advocate for them, and invite our broader congregation to get involved with these various partner organizations.
PACT team members:
-Pray for and with our partners
-Advocate for our partners and Act on behalf of them (hosting, serving as liaisons)
-Communicate with partners, and communicate to the congregation on their behalf
-Travel to visit our partners to simply be present and build relationships, and volunteer your time and talents.
PACT teams are founded upon five foundational values:
- Cultural Competency leading to Cultural Humility
- Responsiveness over Prescriptiveness
- Reciprocity (Mutual Transformation, Identification, Solidarity)
- Grounded in both the Great Commandment and Great Commission. Centered on Jesus and his ministry of belonging, grounded in prayer, empowered by the Holy Spirit, always holding on to hope.
