WORLD RELIEF Special Worship Service and Service Project

June 29th at 10:00am, Sanctuary and Fellowship Hall

At this special worship service, we heard from Executive Director of World Relief, Medard Ngueita. Afterward, we assembled 91 Welcome Kits for World Relief refugee families. Click HERE to watch the service.
World Relief has welcomed, advocated for and helped integrate over 500,000 forcibly displaced immigrants to communities all across our nation, including here in Western Washington since 1979. We are assembling a Good Neighbor Team through World Relief to provide practical support to a family, so thank you to those of you who have already expressed interest! REAL RENT DUWAMISH

July 6th, Presentation at 11:30am - Bethany Parlor

In partnership with other Queen Anne and Seattle area churches, we started supporting Real Rent Duwamish at in 2020. Real Rent calls on people who live and work in Seattle to make rent payments to the Duwamish Tribe. Though the city named for the Duwamish leader Chief Seattle thrives, the tribe has not been justly compensated. All funds go directly to Duwamish Tribal Services (DTS) to support the revival of Duwamish culture and the vitality of the Duwamish Tribe.  



MUSALAHA

Musalaha is a faith-based organization that teaches, trains, and facilitates reconciliation mainly between Israelis and Palestinians from diverse ethnic and religious backgrounds, and also international groups, based on biblical principles of reconciliation.



KANDELIA

We are a local community organization addressing systemic inequities so immigrant and refugee families and communities can thrive without having to compromise values, heritage or ethnicity. Many of our programs are based at Seattle World School, one of only a few public schools in the country designed for newly arrived refugee and immigrant youth.



ESPERANZA MINISTRIES

July 27th, Presentation at 11:30am -Bethany Parlor 

Founded in 1937, Esperanza exists to promote healing and restoration in a place of refuge working primarily with indigenous people groups. Esperanza endeavours to be a purposeful community of faith rooted in reverence, gratitude and faithfulness to God: finding our way forward together as we serve the West Coast of Vancouver Island in the name of the Lord. Bethany has sent teams for over 30 years to learn from and support their community.



Urban Impact and Unlocked

August 3rd, Presentation at 11:30am - Bethany Fellowship Hall

Urban Impact was founded in 1987 to address the complex realities of urban poverty in Seattle’s Rainier Valley, striving to break the cycle of social, material and spiritual poverty. They believe communities are strengthened when families are connected, resources are generated, and local assets are celebrated.
Unlocked has a partnership of churches, organizations, and individuals who support Christian chaplaincy, post-release care, and mentoring for youth incarcerated in King County, Washington. We serve youth in the Juvenile Detention Center, those who have been sent to treatment centers, group homes, long term state facilities, and also those who have been released.



NEW HORIZONS

Since 1978, New Horizons and our community have chosen to see unhoused young people as our community’s most cherished assets: full of beauty, worth, and dignity. Together we work to end homelessness one young person at a time!



MENDING WINGS

August 17th, Presentation at 11:30am - Bethany Parlor

Mending Wings exists to EMPOWER Native American youth and families to WALK TOGETHER in wholeness and beauty, HONOR Creator through our cultures and lives, HEAL with the help of programs that facilitate wholeness, and SHARE with others the life-changing hope we find as followers of the Jesus way, in a culturally relevant way.
