When I first came to Bethany in 2013, I went around to a lot of home groups and had plenty of one on ones with individuals. I kept hearing about one ministry at Bethany over and over again: Alpha. I’d seen Alpha in action in former churches, but not like its impact here at Bethany.

Alpha has taken a hiatus for the last few years at Bethany but it’s back this winter.

Alpha has two things going for it. First, Alpha is all about conversation around your questions, struggles and wrestlings with all things Christianity. It’s dinner table conversation at, well, a dinner table, and with food! Second, Alpha has Nicky Gumbel from Holy Trinity Church, London in weekly videos. Winsome and wise, the Vicar from Brompton gets to the heart of the matter.

If you are new to Christianity, coming back to the church, or simply want to explore again what Jesus is about, I invite you to the weekly dinner conversations of Alpha, beginning January 31 and meeting Thursday nights through April 11.

Alpha will meet on Thursday nights from 6:30-9:00 pm at 7 Howe/Main Floor from January 31-April 11. All are invited to explore questions of the Christian faith through a shared meal, video, and discussion in small groups. Sign ups begin this month.
