Brian Ives pointed us to Christ in discussing God’s healing of scars and wounds in our lives

Carolyn reported that budget is relatively even with prior years, including a normal deficit trend for this time of year. Non-pledged revenue trends remain as reported in prior months, and year-end giving is expected to be consistent with prior years, despite the new 18-month cycle.

Session welcomed Allison Gudnason and Carlee Wilson, both SPU students, who are conducting a communications audit at Bethany. The survey will be used to provide analysis and recommendations on how to adapt our communications.

During brief reports and actions, session approved the baptisms of Adalyn and Eleanor McDonald, Amy Eyler reviewed progress on the hymnal selection process, Doug recapped the October 16 Presbytery meeting, and Margie Van Duzer announced an upcoming concert with Jeff Johnson on December 15th.
