Creation Care as a Hopeful Spiritual Practice in Lent
Lenten devotional by Lynne Baab and Janette Plunkett, with the assistance of J. J. Johnson Leese and Cori Wilson. Illustrations by Dave Baab
“To drive to extinction something [God] has created is wrong. … We Christians have a responsibility to take the lead in caring for the earth.”
The purpose of Lent is weaning us from sin and selfishness so we can be more aware and aligned with God’s will, more willing to be a hopeful participant in His kingdom. This surely includes a healthy environment and community.
