One of the invitations that Dr. Brenda Salter McNeil's work has always extended to us and that she affirmed during her session with us last Sunday is contextual theology and the work of ethnography (see chapter three in Empowered to Repair). Part of doing that is our prayer walks. These are experiences designed to simply help us pay attention to our neighborhoods, see the injustices, the felt needs and longings, and the urgent issues around us.
This Sunday, August 11th, from 1-2pm – we are having some prayer walks and gatherings in the various neighborhoods where Bethany folks live. The meetup locations are listed below:
